Week Five Progress!
I finished week four of C25K Monday, and I MEANT to post something, I really did, but maybe it worked out for the best because today's run was AWESOME.
5 minutes, then 6 minutes, then five minutes again, and it never felt like I was going to die! I actually felt better after today's run than I did at the end of Monday's, which I think it pretty cool.
Saturday is the Color Run, and I know I probably won't run the whole thing (It's very unlikely, anyway), but I'm excited to see how far I can go while listening to my body!

No giving up
I wanted to give up today.
Today was HARD. Today, to be perfectly frank, sucked. Today my app told me to run for five minutes... and then do it again.
I knew four minutes was doable because I'd just done that on Monday, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Five minutes.
It's a long time, five minutes. It's long enough to wonder if you're going to make it, decide you will, and then start wondering again.
I wanted to give up today.
But I didn't.

Week Three: Victory!
Today was day three of week three. My running partner and I both felt good enough after the run that we are going to move on to week four next week.
I have a little bit of discomfort in my knees today, which means that I am going to do a bit of stretching tonight and then let them rest over the weekend. So far this time around, I have had NO pain in my shins, and stretching has taken care of the minor soreness in my IT band.
Woot!
